The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of S.B.Deorah College, Guwahati is an integral part of the college, which provide career support services to the students. The Cell activities are initiated by the teaching faculty of different departments. The Cell focus on providing the life skills to students and make them efficient to cope with the competitive job market. To keep pace with the present stiff competition, the placement cell has undertaken several measures like organizing seminars, communicative skills, personality development and leadership skills to the students.

The main objectives of the cell are:
1. To provide guidance and assistance for the students to achieve their career goals.
2. To create awareness among students regarding available career options and help them identifying their career objectives.
3. To conduct career guidance and induction programme for the students.
4. To identify suitable potential employers and assist them in achieving their hiring goals.
