As per the requirement of instituionalised bodies like the MoE, UGC and AICTE, the college established its OBC cell on 20.12.2022. The primary focus of this cell is to ensure the welfare of OBC students and staff of the College. It aims to oversee the implementation of various schemes, such as scholarships and welfare programs, and assist them in creating opportunities for their future development.

Objectives:
o Offer counseling and guidance on academic and non-academic matters to help them manage effectively.
o Raise awareness about various welfare schemes and government orders specifically for the OBC community.
o Promote awareness, instill values, and foster personality and leadership development among students and staff members.
o Provide remedial coaching to support educationally weaker students.

Functions:
o Facilitate the dissemination of directives and circulars from the University, Government of India, and UGC. Ensure timely compliance and address any necessary follow-up actions.
o Efficiently communicate governmental and UGC decisions on teaching and non-teaching staff appointments and promotions, while actively monitoring adherence to prescribed deadlines and facilitating necessary measures.
o Oversee the implementation of the remedial Coaching Scheme for OBC and minority students, ensuring its effectiveness and alignment with educational objectives.
o Collaborate with government bodies, UGC, and other stakeholders to streamline processes for accessing scholarships, fee waivers, and financial support for OBC and minority students.
