The Department of Computer Science started functioning from 2018 with Mrs. Chayanika Sarmah as its founding teacher. The department presently operates as a self-financing programme and offers both honors and regular courses. The department now consists of two faculty members, namely Mrs. Chayanika Sarmah and Mrs. Rituparna Borah.
The department equipped with sophisticated computer lab for teaching-learning purposes thereby imparting practical training to the existing students. Students of all the three streams of Science, Arts and Commerce can opt for courses in this department. The introduction of SEC (Skill Enhancement Course) in the CBCS syllabus has increased the number of students from outside the Science stream.
A workshop on Tally Courses held for the Non-Teaching staff of the college. (Date)
